With my shop "Purple Pajamas", I purchase a whole lot of fabric and have found it all at lots of different places, but one of my favorites and next fabric to purchase is from a place called "Serena and Lily." They have some of the most "clean crisp" fabric that is amazing quality and beautiful!!!! Here are a few of my favorite fabrics and collections......

Organization
How often do you find yourself wanting to just throw EVERYTHING out of a closet and start over? Well, it happens to me often and now that I'm not teaching school I can do just that. I live in a very small house so reorganizing takes some thought and preparation but I'm making progress. If you need a little boost to get yourself motivated, turn on some good music, buy some organizing containers, look at some organizational pictures and get with it! Here are some I like. If I get around to taking my own pics, I'll post those too!
Have a great day!

Curtains and Lampshade Escapade
I posted a while back that I was working on curtains with the same fabric as my headboard covering and I am now done with them. Here is the finished product.

Definitely needs some color. :) Can't decide what color though. What do you think?
I then covered a lamp shade today and think I'm going to change it to a more contrasting color and do something with the chains but here is my "work in progress."

My new site!
-It's been a while since I have posted- I've been so busy running my cleaning business and ETSY and now my new website ! It is far from being finished but I'm working on it. I will be getting lots of purses, handbags, and shoes in addition to the handmade ETSY shops listed there. What can I say-Since I can't shop constantly I will sell what I love to buy! :) The featured item for yesterday was this adorable tutu dress!

Isn't she just too cute!? Go to www.nmoledo.etsy.com to see more!
And for today is a cover for an iPhone from www.urartist.etsy.com
! I think I'm going to buy one of these. They are so unique and cute. She also does custom orders so if you have a different phone, I think she would be able to accommodate you as long as you can provide the dimensions.

Covering my headboard...
Hi everyone! I have been on bedrest for the last couple of weeks and am now off (thank God! I was about to go insane! lol :) ) I have been wanting to completely revamp my bedroom for a while now and just this week actually started on it. Here is one of the first things I did. Covering my headboard was a lot easier than I thought and didn't cost a whole lot since all the home decor fabric was 60% off last week at Joann's. I got this beautiful fabric for only $13.99 a yard!
Before...

I added 2 inch foam to fill in the empty space...

Measured and cut fabric by laying the fabric over the headboard and allowing for some extra to wrap around back for stapling...

Lastly, using a staple gun, I stapled the fabric to the back of the headboard and TaDa!

I am in the process of making new curtains for my windows so I will show my finished product when I'm done with those.

Nursery
Since I am expecting my first baby, I've been looking at lots of nursery ideas. Here are a few I really like. My nursery is already a grayish taupe so some of these would not need a lot of extra paint.

I'm not all about PINK, PINK, PINK for a girl but I think this one would be great for a girl!

Can you tell I like blue? :)

And last but not least...

A new look to my Living Room
I am loving these living rooms and am about to venture into doing mine in one of these schemes! They are beautiful yet functional!

... Not a living room but love these colors. My walls are already a creamy yellow, so no new paint. :)

The wonder of STRIPES
I got this wonderful idea from Emily A. Clark! I wanted something to spruce up my kitchen on my week off and I found just the thing. Here are my before and after pics.
Doesn't this just make all the difference in the world?! :)

The white stripes tie in with the white cabinets beautifully!

Revamping my Bedroom

Hello! What a wonderful week! I had a whole week off of work and it has been wonderful!! The weather has been absolutely beautiful! Got to sit out and get a tan and even had time to read a book! :) I totally revamped my ETSY shop today and am now offering FREE SHIPPING and layaway! YAY! I put up shelves in my laundry room this week with a bar for hanging clothes. It is so nice! My next big project right now is to re-do my entire bedroom. I put some pics of what it looks like currently. I am looking to make it look like the the all white rooms in the pics given. It will be such a fresh look compared to now! Whew! I want to do all of this thought without spending any money, and I think I can accomplish this. If I paint everything white and then sell my whole set, all I will need is new curtains and a new bedskirt since I already have a white quilt/comforter. My husband always teases that he comes home from work and in one day I have completely built, rebuilt, rearranged or changed something in the house. That's a little exaggeration I think, but it is partially true. :)
ETSY going alright but a little stagnant which is why I revamped my shop. Looks a lot better, I just need to get new items listed but it's hard when all I can keep up with is the orders I get. That's ok. My full time job will be over on July 23rd so I'll have more time then. :)
So here's my current bedroom:
Here is an idea: I love these! What to do, what to do?

Thomas Paul
Thomas Paul was first introduced to me through a good friend of mine Jen! I have fallen in love with their casual yet captivating style of fabric! And the best thing about it is that you can now purchase Thomas Paul Fabric through a retailer! Here are some of my favorites and a short biography of Thomas Paul.

Thomas Paul was born and raised in New York City. He got his start in the fashion business working as an intern at DKNY in the mid-nineties after graduating from New York's Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in textile design. While working as a colorist and designer for a silk mill specializing in neckwear and scarves, he worked on neckwear collections for such designers as Bill Blass, Calvin Klein, and DKNY. This eventually led to the creation of his own neckwear collection, the short-lived digities in the late 90's. From this was born the start of the thomaspaul pillow collection, launched in 2001, which was originally conceived of as an idea of utilizing the silk printing mill's capabilities for home accessories instead of personal accessories. Since then the line has steadily expanded into other categories apart from silk pillows to include tabletop, stationery, and lamp shades. The ultimate goal being to have products covering every aspect of the home, all with thomaspaul patterns gracing them.

Monarch
Well, today I had one of those moments when you just want to sigh "Ahh"- at a shop called Monarch. It opened a couple of years ago near my apartment and I have always been curious to go inside to see what it was all about. It had that chic look about it, but it's kind of out of the way so I just never went in. I have since gotten married and moved farther away but it is still on my way home from school. I was looking for eclectic stationery and since I didn't find any at T.J. Maxx or Marshall's I decided to finally stop in Monarch and take a look around. Oh my goodness! I could live in this place! It just has that certain appeal about it. Every item in the shop is eclectic, unique and just all around adorable and irresistable. They have a "round" canopy crib that I just love! I am thinking about taking pics and posting here on my blog because YOU would love it! From purses, to furniture, to candles, and bedding and anything else you can think of, it is like a small fairy land. When I walked in I just soaked up the smell, the slate tile floor, the quiet and serenity of the shop and wondered if there was anyone even there. Secondly, "How do these people make money?" I discovered the answer when I rounded the corner of the back of the shop. They do floral arrangements and beautiful arrangements at that! I guess the shop is just filler and back-drop for all of the floral arranging. Anyway, needless to say, I will definitely be going back and telling all my friends about Monarch.

Adorable wood bead garland...
At all those garage sales last week, I found this oh so cute wood garland! Not sure what I am going to do with it yet, but I'm sure I can find a place for something so chic. Along with that I found a really nice lamp for $5 and some other things as well.
I put my shop on vacation mode last night because I told my husband I just cannot keep up with working full time and all the orders that I have been getting. Well, that lasted until about 12:00PM today when I found a girl I work with that knows how to sew and is interested in working for me. Yea! My husband said he's not surprised my resolution only lasted that long and that that sounds just like me. He said, "I knew you wouldn't stick to that." :) What can I say? After one year of marriage, he knows me well. Anyway, I have to admit, I haven't actually MADE money yet on ETSY due to all the expenses etc. but I'm making my way up there. Don't get me wrong, I make tons of money, I just always end up using it for overhead or to buy more fabric. I'm a fabric junky! lol I really should lay off buying fabric and just finish all the pillows I already have cut out but not pieced together. Only one small sale today, but you never know what is ahead once I go to sleep. I just might wake up to a sale. :)
Goodnight

My garage sale FINDS!
I had two days off of school this week and decided to take advantage of all the 250 city-wide garage sales of St. John! I got some amazing finds! I also found a chair that I painted and re-upholstered today for my sewing room and it looks fantastic and adds so much to my little work room. Take a look!
